Made of chrome-molybdenum steel for hardness and toughness.
The dragon-back shape makes it easy to secure the guy rope and prevents it from coming loose. Applying weight to the opposite side of the "back" makes it easier to remove. In soft ground, using the peg horizontally increases resistance and makes it harder to pull out.
